The mall kiosk business model involves renting a space in a walkway at a mall and hiring employees to assist with operations. Kiosk leases generally last 1-2 years. They typically have extraordinarily strong footfall, which makes the potential payoff great, but they also carry a moderately high risk profile due to the potential lease cost and the staffing requirement that most malls impose which requires operation during all mall hours.

Compared to a mall inline store, operating a kiosk gives you significantly more visibility, as you are right in the center of the walkway, so virtually every potential customer passing you will be able to see your products on display.
